Book Review: Petit Collage

Title: Petit Collage
Subtitle: 25 Easy Craft and Decor Projects for a Playful Home
Author: Lorena Siminovich
Genre: Crafts & Hobbies

Decorating can be expensive!  In this difficult economy one way to save money is to join the DIY movement.    The author, Lorena Siminovich, gives tutorials in her book to make 25 craft projects to decorate your children's bedrooms, playrooms and nurseries.

The projects are inexpensive and easy to complete.   Each project contains step by step directions and have illustrations to accompany them.   Each project has a level of either easy, intermediate or advanced.  In my opinion, even the most advanced projects can be completed by a beginner crafter.

The back of the book contains an appendix with all the templates that you need to create the projects in the book.  You don't need fancy supplies to complete the projects, just scissors, adhesive, and paper.

All of the projects are whimsical and colorful.  Now that the school year is over and I am home for the summer, I plan to sit down and try my hand at some of the wall art in the book.  I recommend this book to all crafters and wanna be crafters.

The projects are adorable and easy to complete.    You can find out more about the author on her website http://www.petitcollage.com/

  1. Well, this looks really fun! Thanks so much for linking up on Booknificent Thursday this week. Always love to have you! I thought it was interesting that someone else linked up a picture book about creativity with a cardboard box (http://www.threebooksanight.com/book-reviews/christina-katerina-the-box-by-gauch-burn/#comment-5854) and then I came across your how-to book. Fun coincidence!
